Disney bought Marvel on Monday morning which may have some large implications towards the future of both companies in not only the film industry, but perhaps the amusement park industry as well. As I am sure you are aware, Universal currently controls the license for the Marvel characters but with this purchase perhaps that could change soon. Will we see a Spiderman ride at Disneyland or a Iron Man and Buzz Lightyear buddy film soon?
Here’s a news article – post your thoughts and speculation in the comments below!

Yikes, that title was a mouthful!
Many of you may know that the Fear Factor show has been removed from Universal Studios Hollywood, and those will most likely know that it is being replaced with a musical based on one of Universal Studios’ classic horror films, Creature of the Black Laggon. I must say that I am really excited to see this show, I have always been a fan of the old film, and am looking forward to this contemporary repackaging. The press release is below, I can’t wait to get …

Yesterday the Theme Park Insider tournament to find “The Best Ride in America” closed with Revenge of the Mummy (Universal Studios Orlando) taking down Millennium Force (Cedar Point) – much to the Cedar Point fan’s dismay (very.. vocal dismay). Holy toledo!
Now, because I can’t help but insert my own opinion on the winner.. I …

Alright guys, I’ve been putting this update/editorial/report for far too long, and I’m finally doing it. So.. let us begin, shall we?
My Halloween season started off at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights (That’s a mouthful) on October 3rd. This year’s theme was “Living Your Worst Nightmares” and the ringleader was the master of nightmares himself, Freddy Krueger. Like last year, we saw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the Thirteenth mazes in top form as usual. However, we also recieved a brand new Nightmare On Elm Street maze that took …

The “Terror Tram: The Nightmare Tour” — which expands this year to double the length of previous Halloween tram experiences – will offer an exclusive preview of “The Wolfman” on the tram’s LED screens.
