This year I decided to embark on the greatest of theme park halloween scare tactics, sliding. Sliding, for those of you that are unaware is done by wearing a pair of gloves that have various metal pieces glued on to them and kneepads. The idea is that you slide towards the park guest and scare them out of their mind, which, when it is dark and people are already jumpy, is a fairly easy task to accomplish.

Disney has released what is one of, if not the most impressive website they have ever unveiled. Alright, so perhaps that isn’t saying a whole lot, given their previous track record of slow loading and cumbersome websites, something I have maligned rather consistently given my fairly frequent use of Disneyland’s website. However, I am quite happy to announce that they have created a website that is very interactive, quick and very theatrical. A lot has been happening in the world of Halloween Horror Nights, so I think it is high time that I gave you all a condensed update of what is known.

Less than four months remain until the debut of Halloween Horror Nights and this bit of news was released today. It would appear that we’re going to see another popular horror franchise make it’s way to Universal Studios Hollywood – this time, that franchise is Saw. I am a fan of the concept, and has been proven to me over the past two Horror Nights I have been to, that will be sufficient when all is said and done.

Alright guys, I’ve been putting this update/editorial/report for far too long, and I’m finally doing it. So.. let us begin, shall we?
My Halloween season started off at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights (That’s a mouthful) on October  3rd. This year’s theme was “Living Your Worst Nightmares” and the ringleader was the master of nightmares himself, Freddy Krueger. Like last year, we saw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the Thirteenth mazes in top form as usual. So I have been without internet access for a week, and will continue to be without it for another week. With the exception of getting on the computer at school or the library, as is the case right now.
However, know that I have been to both Knott’s Halloween Haunt and Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights and an update is coming for both. After which I will be comparing the two premier Halloween events in Southern California (Sorry Magic Mountain).

Universal City, California— A rare and exclusive first look at Universal Pictures’ highly anticipated re-imagining of the genre classic, “The Wolfman,” will debut at Universal Studios Hollywood’s “Halloween Horror Nights” as part of the theme park’s unique “Terror Tram.”
The “Terror Tram: The Nightmare Tour” — which expands this year to double the length of previous Halloween tram experiences – will offer an exclusive preview of “The Wolfman” on the tram’s LED screens.
