Blackstone went up from $12.70 to $12.82.

Movieline.com has reported that Disney is workshopping a new attraction themed to J.J Abrams’ “LOST” television show. The show’s last season premiers on the 2nd of February. The attraction is said to be utilizing the Kuka arm technology used in the “Knight’s Tournament” attraction at Legoland and the “Sum of All Thrills” which just opened at Epcot. Roy Edward Disney died today at the age of 79 of stomach cancer. He was a creative powerhouse for the Disney company, bringing back the creativity that exemplified the life of his uncle, Walt Disney. While at times a quiet business man, Roy wasn’t afraid to stand up for the Disney “Family Values” when he felt that they were being questioned.
I can’t do the man justice here, so I recommend that you guys go read a great article here.

However, Disney is clearly interested in the massive Shanghai market which includes Suzhou, Nanjing and Hnagzhou which are all accessible via car. Preliminary plans were submitted to Beijing for approval and are expected to be approved.
I will keep an eye on this story and post a follow up story when more information is given.

Disney has released what is one of, if not the most impressive website they have ever unveiled. Alright, so perhaps that isn’t saying a whole lot, given their previous track record of slow loading and cumbersome websites, something I have maligned rather consistently given my fairly frequent use of Disneyland’s website. However, I am quite happy to announce that they have created a website that is very interactive, quick and very theatrical. But don’t take my word for it, check out your favorite Haunted attractions spotlighted here: http://www.disney.com/HauntedHolidays

Disney bought Marvel on Monday morning which may have some large implications towards the future of both companies in not only the film industry, but perhaps the amusement park industry as well. As I am sure you are aware, Universal currently controls the license for the Marvel characters but with this purchase perhaps that could change soon. Will we see a Spiderman ride at Disneyland or a Iron Man and Buzz Lightyear buddy film soon?
