I have a little bit of an update on what’s going on around the Disneyland Resort lately, and some information on what will be going on at Disney’s California Adventure in the years to come.
Lets start with the Golden Gate Bridge in Disney’s California Adventure. The bridge will cease to be seen sometime next year when the entire Sunshine Plaza is closed off and rethemed.
As promised, here is some updated information on California’s premiere Halloween event. The nights, ticket prices, theme, and much more has been posted at the official Halloween Horror Nights Site, and can be found by clicking this link.
In addition to that, a behind the scenes video has been released. The video is the first of several similar webisodes that will be released before opening night. The series will give you a variety of inside information on the event before it takes place.
So, without further ado.. enjoy!
Along with this video, today was the final audition for “Freddy’s Fly Girls”.They, for all I can figure, will be Freddy’s cheerleaders for the event.Below is a picture of some of the recruited talent.
Thanks again to Universal Studios for this great information! I am looking forward to being scared this October!
The Golden Ticket Awards are back again for another year of the same results. I love when the internet coaster craze got started, because the Golden Ticket Awards seemed so geniune. Now they just seem like a place to buy some press. Cedar Point already has their acknowledgment up.
I don’t want to be negative here, but the awards are laughable. Magnaum XL 200 is “rated” the #7 coaster. Come on! I think Mitch’s poll and the coaster crowd as a whole have shown that not to be true. I guess the point of the awards is working, because this post, linking you to the winners, would not exist without them.
Cedar Fair is at it again with another new wooden coaster. This beast is called Prowler and will be located in the Africa section of WOF. Prowler is essentially a new take an an out and back coaster.
Unlike out and back coasters of old, Prowler hugs the ground for the majority of the ride and seems to have very few airtime moments. In my opinion most out and back coasters seem to have a lot of hills associated with them. It’s a nice contrast and I think it will work really well. Another big plus is that it is being built by GCI, so that means Millennium Flyer trains. You can check out an overhead layout of the ride below. Be sure to check out the coaster’s “site” and view the videos, stats, and other artwork.
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past several years, you have noticed that CoasterBuzz.com is one of the internet’s leading coaster sites. Today the site launched a new layout and a few feature fixes. Gone is the green of old, the site has gone with an exact opposite of red as the color scheme. While the opinions on CB have varied greatly, it has stood the test of time (in internet years) and supplied the online community with a great service. Check out the new site, not much has changed (other than the color) but it pomises to deliver a lot in the future.
