Diamondback had its preview day yesterday, and is offically opened as of today. From what I am hearing, there is a line that streches from the enterance of the ride to the Eiffel Tower and then back to the splashdown area. O yeah, the queue is completely full on top of that. From everything I have heard, it is worth the wait.
The reviews starting coming yesterday and the ride was compared to Nitro and Apollo’s Chariot, and some said that it was easily better then both. I can’t review it …

It has been awhile since we have heard anything from the Gravity Group on their new Timberliner trains. Infact, I had all but forgotten about them until today. Holiday World posted a video of the Timberliner cars testing on the Raven. To quote the video:
A few weeks ago, we “loaned out” the coaster track at The Raven for our friends at The Gravity Group to try out the prototype of their Timberliner train. It was great fun to watch the testing and see their delighted faces. They took their toy …

Prowler received its first set of trains today. They look pretty nice, I love that there is nothing in front of the first row. Worlds of Fun has done a great job tracking the progress of the coaster, my hats off to them.
The other parts of the coaster are coming along as well. The brakes are ready to go, the gift shop is coming along, and the even have the queue up. If you didn’t know they are auctioning off the first ride, and they even have a leader board …

In first part of this series I asked you what factors someone should consider if you are getting married on a coaster. Sadly I am not, but here are the following areas I am going to consider when picking out there ride.

The coaster blogging world is a pretty small and well connect group of people who try to provide the lastest in the amusement industry. Today, NewsPlusNotes updated their site with a new look. I have got to say it looks really, really nice. I especially enjoy the logo. It reminds me of the old Cedar Point animated headers. So check out NewsPlusNotes when you get a chance and tell them how you like their new layout.

Holiday World’s newest waterride finally got to strech its legs the other day. According to the HoliBlog it was a chilly36 degrees out and the area was in a flury of snow in the morning. Nevertheless, they tested it out to see what it could do. The boat was hoisted up the hill (the elevator lift isnt working yet) and was then let go. In the video below you can see the result. I’m amazed at how fast thing thing goes and how high the water shot. I know this …

Blue Fire at Europa Park opened yesterday and form all accounts, it is a great coaster. The coaster is built by Mack and features 4 inversions and a launch that goes from 0-62 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds. Perhaps the most impressive part of this coaster is that it does have a heartline roll, that didn’t need to be taken out before opening day. The other thing is that this is the first major coaster from Mack that we have heard of in quite sometime.
The theming and everything …

Thanks to our reader NJCoasters7 comment, we now know that Medusa will also be called Bizarro. If that wasn’t enough proof for you Six Flags Great Adventure’s site also has the new name on it. The site has the following to say:
Known for his clumsy and destructive attempts to emulate Superman, everything in Bizarro’s world is twisted and backwards. The Bizarro experience begins the moment you enter the ride queue line through a custom-created comic book story. Climb aboard the newly-designed coaster cars with custom built audio in the headrest. …

West Coaster Bash was held last week and from the sound of it, it was a blast. During construction tours given of Terminator Salvation: The Ride a lot of great information was shared. A few videos have appeared that show the full talk that was given.
I’m 3000 miles away from SFMM and I’m a bit excited to see what they are going to do with the coaster. The layout looks fun, but the bigger thing is the theme they are going to be putting into the coaster. How exactly are …
