Kings Island today announced Diamondback, their 2009 B&M hypercoaster. Diamondback will be 230ft tall,  have over a mile of track, 10 total drops with a splash down finale - not to mention one twisted layout that is sure to turn heads.
I must say I am very impressed at what I see and will definitely be there opening day.

I saw this video on YouTube and just had to post it here for everybody to see (if you haven’t already). It is pretty amazing to see what Top Spin’s can really do, and three cheers to the folks who had the guts to ride it. Now where’s the nearest Top Spin and more importantly the ride operator!
Edit by Kevin: I put the right video in.

I always thought Mindfreak was an interesting show, but now that they have a roller coaster involved it is that much more interesting. On August, 28th at 10PM EST and again at 2AM EST on A&E, Criss will tie himself to the tracks of the Canyon Blaster roller coaster at the Adventuredome at Circus Circus and attempt to escape before being pummeled by the train.
This should be very interesting and I can’t wait to see how it all goes down. It is amazing how he can design these stunts and …

The latest action at the park has been posted to Discover Myrtle Beach. Led Zeppelin the Ride is moving along quite nicely. As of today, the cobra roll and half of the corkscrew have been put into place. Also construction on Reggae River Falls is progressing as well as some other park attractions.
I always thought it was kind of exciting when a whole brand new park gets built. After it opens I am also excited to see how far they will eventually go with this park. I think it will …

Dollywood’s newest attraction, Mystery Mine, opened it’s doors late March of 2007. The coaster, North America’s first “euro-fighter” is the largest capital investment to date for the park. I recently spent two days in the park, in which I had the opportunity to ride Mystery Mine numerous times.
Spoilers Ahead======
The ride begins with a sharp dip out of the station, which gives a good dose of whiplash as your head hits the headrest at the bottom of the drop. You then veer towards the left, making a unique outward-banked turn, going …

As you may have heard, historical amusement park Conneaut Lake needs nearly $300,000 in order to open this year. The park is now selling collectible tokens for just $5, which can also be redeemed, throughout the year, for all day ride passes. If you can, by all means, help out and purchase some tokens. The future of a historic park is in your hands. Visit their site for more.

Well the rumors are true and Universal is indeed bringing a Simpsons ride to the parks on both coasts.  The ride will offer the normal comedy of the show, “only at high speed and with lots of screaming.”  While this is a great improvement, and a great replacement for The Back to the Future ride, I don’t agree with it.  I don’t believe a park should be using movie titles that aren’t their own, whether they have the proper licensing or not.

It’s the red and yellow monstrosity that graces the Cedar Point skyline. It stands at 420 feet tall and races at 120 miles per hour. This behemoth of a roller coaster is Top Thrill Dragster. Top Thrill Dragster opened to the public in 2003, and shocked the world smashing both the speed and height records, and definitely lives up to that reputation.
As you enter the park you can see Top Thrill Dragster from virtually anywhere, if you hadn’t already seen it miles down the road. The sheer size of …

I recently returned from a week-long trip in Florida. We decided to take a break from Disney for one day and travel over to Tampa to check out what Busch Gardens Africa had to offer.
As you approach the park, SheiKra, Kumba, and Montu rise high above the rest of the park, preparing you for what all you’re going to be conquering that day. As you enter the gates, SheiKra is out of sight, due to the massive trees around. But as you approach the Stanleyville section, SheiKra’s dark red track …
