LOST Attraction Will Remain Unfound
Gather.com has reported that the LOST attraction that I posted about last week is a no go, according to Disney officials. Written as a placater to Disney fanatics that shriek at any sort of popular culture bleeding into the park, Jodi Jill assures the Mouseketeers need not fear. For Disney has saved them from converting Pirate’s Lair into another Disney (More or less) franchise… Right.
This does not quite come as a surprise to me, but I am certainly not in the “Disneyland is sacred” camp. Walt Disney believed that the park, while in part a picture of a better time, must also reflect the culture it is in. Think Congress. The Senate is there to be more deliberative, and thoughtful, whereas the House of Representatives is to be “The People’s House”. So, minus the corruption, it works.
You can find Jodi’s article right here – whom do you agree with? Is Disneyland sacred and LOST blasphemous? Or is the right way for Disneyland the way that blends old and new together?
