In an article in the Sandusky Register, the Knott family made it known that they are not pleased with the potential take over of Cedar Fair by Apollo Management. Stephen Knott, the grandson of the founder of the park, Walter Knott, said “I hate to just think of having a small pot of money and nothing else.” – which makes sense, to a degree. However, if any of you have been to Knott’s since Cedar Fair took over you know as well as I do that the charm of the park is long gone. If the Knott family has had any say in the way the park is run over the past decade or so, well, perhaps I should lay off of Cedar Fair a bit.
