Christmas With The Castle: Disneyland Update
Let me first of all wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, or Holiday Season if that’s what you prefer. I hope it has been filled with family, friends, and all that jazz.
I spent my Christmas with my family at Disneyland. Previously I had thought a trip to a theme park on a major holiday is a death wish. However, I am always impressed by how well Disney handles large crowd sizes. It was crowded, with the park hitting capacity for an hour at around 3 P.M I am told. However, I did not wait longer than an hour for anything. Granted I did not ride Space Mountain or Splash Mountain for this reason. But I digress.
Some updates for those of you interested (I would imagine this includes all of you, if you’re reading this):
Oh, and I apologize for the lack of pictures. I can not find my camera charger, so I decided to leave the camera at home. I was able to take one “okay” picture with my cell phone, which I will include at the end of this update. Let’s bullet point this stuff up!
- I caught the Princess and the Frog show which takes place on the Mark Twain. Average Disney fare, nothing spectacular. And it did nothing to pique my interest for the film: 3/5.
- The holidays are here again, so Disneyland is characteristically decked out.
- The lagoon in California Adventure has been refilled, and looks spectacular.
- The Golden Dreams show building has been destroyed and construction for the new Little Mermaid attraction has commenced.
- Some progress has been made on Cars Land, or that is how it looked from the highest point of California Screamin’.
- The Electric Parade is as fun as ever. Yeah, we’ve all seen a light bulb before – but never like this. 4/5
Here is a picture of the lagoon at night, I absolutely love the reflection:

That is all for now – but rest assured more Disneyland updates will come as my pass has been renewed and I go to school a mere twenty minutes away. Until next time, Happy Holidays!
