After applying at Knott’s yesterday morning, a friend and I decided to go to the Disneyland Resort for a couple of hours so we could check out the newly themed Mickey’s Fun Wheel (Knott’s is only ten or fifteen minutes from Disneyland by city streets). So here are a few pictures from Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland, enjoy!
The Food and Wine festival is in full swing at California Adventure, and while I have not taken part in it before, it’s a relatively big deal around here (mostly for those in …

GordonRides and DynamicDesigns have unveiled a new take on an old classic – The Whip. Now the closest I have come to riding one of these bad boys (the classics, I mean) is the kiddiewhip at Knott’s Berry Farm when I was seven years old. However, as most of our east coast members (Yeah, pretty much everyone but me) could tell you, these rides back a heck of a punch.
So why change something that has proven successful for over fifty years? (My grandparents talk about The Whip at Coney Island, …

Last week we asked how many times you visit your home park during the summer. Over half of the votes went for 2-4 times a summer. I have to admit I voted for that as well. I think it has to do with the fact that people are used to thier home park so they don’t need to go a million times, but they also probably have a season pass, so they can go more than once or twice.
This week we are wondering if you vist a park during a …

The LA Times Travel Blog recently posted pictures of Six Flags Magic Mountian’s Terminator Salvation coasters trains. I believe this is the first time I’ve ever seen diamond plate on a coaster. It looks awesome. On the other hand, I hate the molded sides. I think they look cheap and out of place. They would of looked better as more diamond plate or some type of brushed aluminum.

If you are not used to seeing FSMP, don’t be suprised, it took me a bit to get it down. Freestyle Music Park recently installed a new sign in the front of the park. It is one of a number of changes they are making to the park. I am digging the direction they are going an the excitment for a park that essentailly the same thing as a failed park. Thanks to FSMP Blog for the image (formerly HardRockParkBlog)

So after you’re done voting in our poll of the week and guessing our latest mystery coaster, go check out Hersheypark Hits The Road.

Manta, the brand new Bolliger and Mabillar Flying Coaster has “soft opened” at Sea World Orlando. For those unaware, a “soft opening” means any opening of a new attraction before it’s official opening (Manta’s is Memoprial Day Weekend, the 23rd I believe). A soft opening is generally used to test out the ride systems and gather guest feedback in order to enhance the experience for guests that come out to ride opening day.

Last week we asked you how long you would be willing to wait for a ride. Only a few votes were cast for the lower waiting times with an unlimited wait time receiving the highest number of votes.
This week we are wondering how often you visit your home park during the summer. Some people get tried of their home park and do not visit very often, while others are there constantly. One note for this poll, if you work at the park, that does not count as a visit.

Freestyle Music Park is taking no time in trying to change the image of the park. The Led Zeppelin coaster is being repainted pink and has recieved a siderweb looking metal piece over the back fins of the zeppelin. I believe they have to change the name becasue of licensing, but it is a big change. Below is the latest details on what they might be doing with the ride:
Towering 150 feet in the sky, Freestyle Music Park’s signature roller coaster gets your adrenaline pumping with a high intensity / …
