Pligrim’s Plunge testing

8 April 2009 592 views One Comment

09-04-08-01Holiday World’s newest waterride finally got to strech its legs the other day. According to the HoliBlog it was a chilly36 degrees out and the area was in a flury of snow in the morning. Nevertheless, they tested it out to see what it could do. The boat was hoisted up the hill (the elevator lift isnt working yet) and was then let go. In the video below you can see the result. I’m amazed at how fast thing thing goes and how high the water shot. I know this is testing phase, but that boat came to a stop pretty quickly. Still looks like a lot of fun and it is sure to be another homerun for Holiday World.

I would assume that because it’s so blessedly cold outside, that the water would tend to stop the boat quicker (colder = denser).

This thing is a beast, and I’d love to get out there to ride it one of these days.
