Manta at Sea World has been flying along. Johnnyupsidedown has posted some great images of the construction.
As you can see the in-line twist and helix has been completed along with several other sections of the ride. I don’t remember a steel coaster like this going up as quickly as this one has. One other note, last day to get you nominations in!

World’s of Fun posted some pictures of the work going on with Prowler today. The first drop is in place and is awaiting the lift hill. A few other sections of the ride are in place and are looking good.
Don’t forget to get you nominations in (see post below). I have recieved about a hundred or so different nominations, so if you feel a site is worthy of an award, please nominate them.

Not sure how many of you have seen this, but IAAPA’s blog titled IAAPA: In the Queue, recently posted a link to an online version of FUNWORLD Magazine. It is completely free and its the standard for industry magazines. It’s worth a look, there are a couple of great articles in there (once you find your way through the ads).

Alright guys, I’ve been putting this update/editorial/report for far too long, and I’m finally doing it. So.. let us begin, shall we?
My Halloween season started off at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights (That’s a mouthful) on October 3rd. This year’s theme was “Living Your Worst Nightmares” and the ringleader was the master of nightmares himself, Freddy Krueger. Johnnyupsidedown.com has just posted a few shots from Manta’s layout. We have been waiting forever to see this thing, and I’m glad we finally got a look. There looks to be a pretzel loop, an in-line twist, a “wing dip,” and a flat spin among other things. Click here to view the full update.
