The latest from the park is that the coaster will open up on July 4th. Last week they posted some great shots of the trains, and I still love them. From one of our previous posts I said I loved everything about them, but they looked like they might be uncomfortable. I feel the same about them now, but it’s amazing how close the “concept art” and the actual cars came out to be.

Yesterday, at about 2pm, a boy was decapitated by Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Over Georgia. He and a friend had left the park for lunch, and instead of going back through the main gate hopped over a perimeter fence, and then another fence into the ride area. When he tried to grab riders feet on one of the low points of the ride, his head was removed by the training, which was travelling at around 40mph.

I haven’t been following this coaster all that closely, but it really popped up all the sudden. The last time I checked, the cobra roll was on its way up. Right now the towers are up, the trains are on site, and the station is nearing completion.
It sounds as though the last things the park is waiting on is the new cable lift system. Apparently there is not going to be any rescue walkway under the cobra roll like on the other Giant Boomerrangs. The photo and news credits are …

Well they sure are starting this coaster early and not really hiding it at all. The picture below clearly shows a water splash area for their next coaster. I’m putting my money on a B&M hyper, but there are a few other rumors floating out there. Take a look for yourself, what do you think is coming?

Sorry for the lack of updates, no excuses other than summer jobs. Cedar Point has just updated their website, and it looks great. They have really moved up the list on my favorite theme park sites. The site is super easy to navigate and looks amazingly professional. I’m used to Cedar Fair cartoon style, and I like the change.
