Fahrenheit construction update 4-05
This is the second construction update this week, I must have a lot of free time. In fact, I was in Hershey today for the Spring Time in Hershey event that the park puts on. They open the park for the weekend and have most of the rides running. The price of admission is also half of what you normally pay. The nice thing was that they didn’t have Fahrenheit completely blocked off.
The station is really coming together, and it is massive.
I christen thee, The Cathedral at Hersheypark. I really love the station, can’t wait till trains start rolling through it.
The”loop element” is insanely huge. It is much more impressive close up.
Remember how I was saying that the supports are going to be filled with sand? Well this is the device they use to do it with. Take a bucket with a hose, fill it with sand, and put hose in hole. Thats all you need to do to make a quiet coaster.
Howler is all but ready to go. The last thing left to do is to put the line in place. Right now it is just a slab of concrete.
You can view the entire gallery here. There are three supports left to put in place and two track sections. They are both small turns that connect the brake run to the station. Other then that, Fahrenheit is look great. A notice to anyone going to Spring Time tomorrow, Lightning Racer. Wild Mouse, and Wildcat are all closed, as anywhere past Fahrenheit is blocked off due to the construction.
