Remember just a few short years ago when Cedar Fair could seemingly do no wrong? When Six Flags did everything wrong? The time I’m talking about was the time period between Cedar Fair’s purchase of Geauga Lake and the purchase of the Paramount Parks. From that point forward, it seems that it has become “trendy” to hate on Cedar Fair. If you have an iPod, iPhone, or any other new gadget, you probably jumped on the Cedar Fair hate train.
Why is all of this anger going around, or is it …

These pictures are a little outdated now with all of the changes going on, but they still give you a great view of SFMM’s coasters. There are 130 of them in total.
The biggest changes you will notice is that X, is not X2 and Viper had not received its new paint. The Intamin drop tower in the middle of Riddlers Revenge also existed in these pictures.
Check out the fully gallery here.

William was the winner of last week’s Mystery Coaster. I don’t think this week’s is very challenging but I’ll leave that for you to decide.

One note with the site; We know the top bar is being funky and we are working on solving the problem. Thanks for understanding.

Universal Studios Florida released details on “Project Rumble” this past Wednesday, and it’s a coaster! Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit is the official name of the attraction, a new 167 ft tall coaster which is planned to become a new icon for the park.
Located between Jimmy Neutron and the Blue Man Group theater, the ride will be an outdoor thrill ride flying above the park and parts of CityWalk, unlike the park’s other rides which are mostly indoors. The ride is reported to allow riders to select music to listen to …

After last week’s construction tour, I am back with another Fahrenheit update. The “high hat,” as they are calling it, was put in last week, and it looks great. A lot of other fun stuff is going on at the coaster as well as around the park.

There it is, all done and looking good.

As we mentioned in our last podcast, Dominator’s track is being painted orange. I believe the dark blue supports are staying the same. If that is true, then this coaster is going to look great. The CoasterCrew has been covering Dominator’s construction and they just posted some up close shots of the orange track.

What do you think of the color scheme?

Jake was our winner last week. I predict we won’t get a winner this week. Good luck.

California’s Great America opened it’s season up yesterday. There were a lot of new things to see in the park, especially the ride signage for all of the name changes that have taken place.
Surprisingly I don’t hate Top Guns err Flight Deck’s new sign, I just hate the name. It has the military style lettering which makes it look decent. Drop Tower on the other hand is awful. Everything from the name to the sign is bad. Under the sign they even have a Six Flags-esque “Scream Zone.” What is …

Norton Auctioneers has posted dates for some upcoming auctions, and Geauga Lake is on the list. On June 17th and 18th you will be able to grab a piece of history. There isn’t much more information but the site does say, “Huge auction of complete park!” So that what you will with that. I wonder what will be available to buy.
