Clementon Jack Rabbit No Longer Standing

Clementon Amusement Park, in Clementon NJ, has demolished the Jack Rabbit roller coaster, after 89 years. It operated 84 of those years, and has been SBNO since 2002. It is no longer S or O. When it was still operating, it was the oldest continuously operating coaster in the world. It was my very first coaster, and I’ll certainly never forget it. It was a fairly tame family coaster, but very smooth and featured quite a bit of airtime.

If it was such a great ride, then why did they demolish it? I’m not trying to bash the ride, or your opinion on it, but was there an accident?

  3. Pcman Says:

The footers sank into the ground and reports are no footers in some places.
Price to repair would have been over 1.5 Million dollars.

  4. Jake Says:

Ah, yeah, that would do it.
