Yes, Led Zeppelin has begun testing, way ahead of schedule. The coaster looks good and makes it through the circuit with no effort. The park that I find the most surprising is how close this coaster is built to the road. For a destination park, Hard Rock Park is really built right next to its neighbors.
And sorry to our viewers on a slower connection for all of the YouTube links in the past couple of days.
Announcements, News »
If you don’t want to watch, they announced at carousel for the 4th of July section, a frog hopper style ride for the christmas section, and a new bathroom and Pepsi Oasis for the water park. They are also doing a lot of general upkeep additions including; a tram for the parking lot across the street and clocks placed all around the park for that confusing time shift thing they have. O yeah, they already announced the addition to the water park also.
It’s a nice set of additions that should …

The last few posts on the HoliBlog have been teasing us for an addition for next year. It looks like the cat will be out of the bag tomorrow at 9. The cool thing, they are putting the announcement up on YouTube. Holiday World continues to impress me because they continually embrace technology. For a park “in the middle of nowhere,” they are on the cutting edge of things to do on the internet. While YouTube has been around for years, I think Holiday World will be the first to …

FlyinPhil has posted some new pictures of his latest flyover of Six Flags Great Adventure. You can view the pictures here. There isn’t much happening in the park other then the Chiller removal. All that remains is the stations and covered launch area. Other then that, the ride is dirt. There are no signs of the Dark Knight coaster at this time.
Check out Flyin Phil’s Photos for some other great shots of the park and other areas of the northeast.

Dorney has updated its Voodoo site with several new construction pictures. Pieces of track have been showing up as they are being painted and the first parts of the train have also started to arrive. The color scheme includes yellow track, raspberry and purple train with orange and yellow accent stripes, orange foam restraint padding, and purple seat buckets. The only thing that we do not know is the support color. I think this will be a killer color scheme and should look great in the park. Check out the …

Colliers International, a company that says it has been, “delivering creative real estate solutions in over 250 cities worldwide,” has put up map of the land to be sold off from Geauga Lake.
I have got to say that this is the saddest news yet to come out of that “park.” They are selling everything, barely leaving room for expansion. The whole phase two plan has apparently stopped in its tracks. I also had no idea that this area had some much land, I think it could of really become something …

CWMania’s boards have been filled with a lot of great construction pictures of Behemoth. I have got to say that Behemoth is perhaps the prettiest looking coaster I’ve ever seen. The colors, setting, everything just flows perfectly. Coasterguy77 and Duck have both post some great shots within the past few days. I’m glad there are enthusiast around to keep the off season entertaining thus far. The following picture is credit to coasterguy77.
News, Rumors »
There have been rumors flying on the net, and I’m pretty sure Kevin mentioned this rumor on one of our podcasts, but Kings Island is “going” to be getting a hyper for 2009. Someone scanned in an image from the latest edition of the First Drop Magazine. I figured I would pass it along if you haven’t seen it yet.
It clearly shows the layout for KI’s hyper. I read a lot of coaster boards, and people seem to be really split if this is true or not. I’m going to …
