Wild West World = Done

After less then a year of operation (actually only a few weeks) Wild West World has closed for good. The rides, buildings, and land will be sold off in the coming months. Kansas.com has a good write-up of what actually happened and why the park only existed for such a short amount of time. You can also give them credit for the picture in this post.

Kansas.com also posted this little notice today about the future of some of the rides. Seabreeze Amusement Park has bid on the Sidewinder and Himalaya rides. A new park being built in Fresno, CA put in a bid for the Mexicana ride. It should be interesting to see where all of these rides go, especially since most of them are not paid off yet.

That didn’t last long did it? Oh well, rest in peace Wild West World. May you and Astroworld enjoy each others company in amusement park hell.

Damn, if Etheridge just hadn’t been such an idiot, Wichita might have had something there… It’s too bad Seabreeze came in already and swooped up the frisbee, as I wanted FC to pick that up, but I guess we can always get the flyers.
