This last week sure has been a fun one for the amusement industry. We have Hershey shelling out all kinds of stuff in preparation for their announcement later this week. I am really looking forward to the announcement. They sure did a good job of building up hype for the enthusiast crowd. The other big news was that Geauga Lake is to become waterpark only. I speculated awhile ago about what could be done with the park, but I really didn’t see this happening. There have been a lot of mixed emotions with the decision, and more importantly how it was announced. Now we all get to guess where the coasters are going to be heading (hey we already have a forum topic about it).

In other news, Voodoo, Dorney’s new coaster, has been semi announced. There are signs up around the park, and track just showed up the other day. Not even offically into the offseason and rumors are flying off the shevles. I think this will be one of the more entertaining offseasons that we had had in the past few years.
