Here is what we’ve all been waiting for! Hersheypark announced their newest coaster, Fahrenheit, today. You can see the coaster’s promo site here.
Looks simply amazing! I can’t wait to ride it next year!
So with this brings to close Nantimi and all it’s magical wonders, haha. It was a great ride and the rewards were well worth the work.
Thanks Hershey!
P.S: Kevin you were right, and I was wrong. Go you.

Since everyone has helped out with the Hershey announcement and all of the games, I figured I would let you in on the fun. Here is a link to the new coaster, and the announcement that should come tomorrow (it’s down). If you missed it, it was a No Limit’s video of the ride. Nothing super big deal, heck the announcement is only 12 hours away.
Now lets see how all of this plays out tomorrow and see if we have all been had (I don’t think we have though).
EDIT:
Nantimi Closes

This time last year we all hoped that we would see Batman and Robin returning to full service as the zero G rolls were removed. Apparently the zero G rolls were not the problem. As Kevin talked about in a prior podcast, rumors have been swirling about this coaster going bye-bye. It seems that is in fact the case. Great Adventure Net has posted several pictures showing the deconstruction of the ride. Sad to see that all of that work was for nothing. Heck, one of the sides never even …

This last week sure has been a fun one for the amusement industry. We have Hershey shelling out all kinds of stuff in preparation for their announcement later this week. I am really looking forward to the announcement. They sure did a good job of building up hype for the enthusiast crowd. The other big news was that Geauga Lake is to become waterpark only. I speculated awhile ago about what could be done with the park, but I really didn’t see this happening. There have been a lot of …

Although no full press release has been made yet, Dorney Park has unveiled the name and logo of their 2008 attraction in season pass promotional material, as well as on several signs placed around the park today. The inverted impulse coaster, formerly Steel Venom at Geauga Lake, has been named Voodoo. Pictures of the sweet logo can be seen at News Plus Notes. More information will be posted here and at Dorney Park Online once the park makes a full press release.

Cedar Fair announced today that the rides side of Geauga Lake will be closing completely, and as of the 2008 season the park will be a water park only.
From the article:
As part of the changeover to exclusively water park attractions, a number of the rides at Geauga Lake will be introduced at other Cedar Fair parks.
The property not necessary for the operation of the water park is being reviewed for other uses and development.
All I have to say is this is very disappointing news from a historical perspective. They better …

While this is totally unconfirmed and based solely off of some connections I have made, I have a feeling that Hershey’s new coaster is going to be named Afterburner. If you have been reading Nantiman’s blog there have been several references to flying and airports. Hershey’s site indicates that the theme will be heat, fire, or something else that is very hot. With all of the airport and plane talk on the blog and the heat information on Hershey’s site, I just tried to connect the dots. Afterburners are very …

I feel a bit like Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. If you haven’t been keeping up to date with Hershey news, apparently they selected 25 people to send pieces of a picture to. Hershey’s own little golden ticket hunt. I just checked my e-mail and I received one of the pictures. The title of the e-mail read 25, and the image file was named hp_r1_c5. You can see it below. If you follow this link, there are the other site’s that they sent pieces to. Apparently they sent …
