It was only a short time ago that we learned all of the details about the Hard Rock Park. Well construction has been moving along and the Led Zeppelin themed coasted has already started on vertical construction. It even has track on the supports if you can believe it. It appears as if only the brake run and possibly the station area has been completed, but it’s a huge head start for a park that is not going to open for a year. Check out the unofficial
Hard Rock Blog for a few more photos.

I am absolutely thrilled about the Zeppelin Coaster! Led Zeppelin, rock’s greatest band, have always flown just slightly under the media radar, shrouded in mystery and mystique. Consider the publicity The Stones get by comparison. I bet most people outside of Zeppelin’s huge fan base would be surprised to know that Led Zeppelin have sold nearly twice as many albums as The Stones. I mention this because there are many that don’t realize the mighty Zep were so much more than just the first and best hard rock/heavy metal band. They created so many brilliantly unique compositions of astonishing variety and scope that it’s impossible for anyone familiar with their entire catalogue to label or limit them. Truly, rock’s greatest band!
