The Cedar Point Blog reported that the S-curve has been fully installed. They are finishing up a few odds and ends, particularly painting, but other then that it should be ready for testing. According to the site:
“The next step is to complete our pre-opening testing. Once that’s complete and the State of Ohio has licensed the ride for operation, we can open. We still hope to have the ride open in early June. We’ll keep you posted.”

I recently invested in some new podcasting gear for the show. We have been doing the show for a few months now and I felt like it was time to upgrade some of the recording equipment. I also had some extra cash burning a hole in my pocket, so I splurged. I read up on some reviews and purchased a new microphone, desktop microphone stand, and a pop killer.

According to the Cedar Point Blog, four new sections of track arrived early this morning. Workers are already busy getting them into place. It should be only a matter of days until test can start up again, hopefully.

Knott’s Berry Farm is in the process of building their next coaster. Coasterdom has an update on the construction. You can clearly see what is still left to do. This looks like it’s going to be a really fun coaster. Apparently the coaster went through its first test run today as well.
The train is already on the track, ready for testing.

Last Saturday, May 12th, Journey to Atlantis opened at SeaWorld San Antonio. According to the site, “Journey to Atlantis is the first of its kind in the United States, incorporating elements of a roller coaster and water ride. Its distinguishing features are that riders enjoy part of the ride traveling backwards, enjoy a panoramic view, and plunge into a lake. Journey to Atlantis opens May 12, 2007.â€
