Well the argument of who has the most coasters my be solved very soon. A rumor has been floating around that SFMM will be dismantling Psyclone and Flashback, putting their coaster count down to 15. Cedar Point is adding another coaster this summer making their count 17. A quick check of Six Flag’s site shows neither of the mentioned rides listed. So it could be all over for those two rides. What does this mean?

Well it essentially means nothing. Flashback hasn’t operated in a number of years and Psyclone isn’t a fan favorite, regardless of what Kevin will have you believe (listen to the podcast). I personally hated the ride. I don’t think too many people are going to miss either of these two rides. With that said, it will be interesting to see what Six Flags does with the new land opened up by the dismissal of the two coasters. Seeing how Six Flags has totally gone “family friendly” this move really comes as no surprise and I am sure we can expect something for the whole family in their places.
