The headline says it all; this morning, it was announced that Cedar Fair purchased the 5 Paramount Parks (Canada’s Wonderland, Carowinds, Kings Dominion, Kings Island, and Great America) for a whopping $1.24 Billion.  I think this is a great move on Cedar Fair’s part, and the next few years should be very interesting.  I can’t wait to see what kind of transformation the parks/rides will undergo.

“After the meeting, Mr. Kinzel revealed Cedar Fair is considering buying Kings Island, an amusement park near Cincinnati that was put up for sale by its owner, CBS Corp. That park is one of five in CBS’ Paramount Parks division.”
This is very interesting news and I won’t be surprised if it ends up happening. Cedar Fair has recently bought out Michigan’s Adventure and Geauga Lake which they have turned …

As gas prices continue to rise, Six Flags President Mark Shapiro has something that might cool that burning hole in your pocket. Six Flags is offering $15 off of admission when you bring your gas receipt to the park with you. This promation goes till May 29th and is sure to help encourage people to come to the parks.I have got to admit that Six Flags is doing a good thing with this idea. Now this promotion may seem great, but remember that the price of parking has gone up, …

The 2006 season is finally here. Cedar Point has opened Skyhawk to the public, and who would have thought that it would break down the first day of operation? Cedar Point had to order a part to be able to fix her up, so until then Skyhawk will not be running. Hopefully this will take care of all the possible problems, but with a new ride of such caliber it is really hard to say.
Construction is also underway at the park for the 2007 attraction which looks to be a …
